Adam ‘Primetime’ Posener wins BFL Pro Title- Posener’s MMA Vancouver

 

 

On Thursday April 17 ’25 Adam ‘Primetime’ Posener captures the BFL Pro Welter Weight MMA World Title by unanimous 5 round decision. The opponent Zack ‘Pow Pow’ Powell at 9-2 with roughly 20 total fights showed very clearly that he is an excellent, tough, determined and highly skillful fighter… Congratulations for a good fight..

 

So…. this was Adam’s biggest challenge in some respects… but… Interestingly enough…. at each respective moment…. They are all good challenges… In the course of a career or in life…

 

Here  he is getting ready… He is well prepared… no misunderstandings..

 

 

So the fight went 5 rounds… Adam’s first time in a pro title fight… The commentary on UFC fight pass is very good.. I suggest you take a look… and here is a clip from the first round.

 

In regards to the various questions, which are inevitable… Here Adam shows improved striking and, of course, excellent offensive and defensive entries… Certainly stepping up…. There is more… and the applications from the theory will increase.

 

Here is a clip from mid part of the fight. Michael Chiesa particularly notes the shin ride and the Dagestani handcuff variations for control and ground and pound… Nicely done…. and solid defense by Pow pow… similar concepts were applied throughout the fight.

 

So.. for the first time in his career, at this point, being just 20 years old, Adam goes the distance.. against a tough and skilled guy.. Overcame some challenges.. fair bit of energy expended, physically and correspondingly mentally… but great work in composure, thinking, and preparation.

 

Before the decision… we know…

 

but… reality… ooh…

Sometimes a picture is worth 1000 words.. so.. take a look.. and.. Adam is now the youngest BFL pro champion in its 15 year history.. pretty cool accolade… really quite significant… Adam is a unique individual… and… on Easter Monday today… We could say.. We are all unique creations from God… and.. some people are certainly more unique than others… To be a MMA pro champion you need to be willing to pay the price; sacrifice, obsession, determination, focus, ability to reframe negatives into positives… etc… traditional philosophy IMO. and of course everybody has a back story…

 

Another face of being the champ.

 

Sometimes to be the champ does not lead to perfect ‘balance’… ha ha.. but in the immortal words of the late great Jim Rohn ‘ We will not linger too long at the table of success.. to enjoy another meal you need to get hungry again’. So after some time of processing, integration of experience, reflection on the past, the path to the future can be designed… so.. We will assess next steps in the coming weeks and days.. no huge rush…

MMA can be a great way to attain self knowledge.. and in Zen terms gain a greater appreciation and understanding of others.
