You got to love the sense of humour, character, and the exemplification of the Power of the OSU! 😉 So… what is next, as we had some time to reflect and integrate… The next event is going to be a Muay Thai event in Washington state.. Paul is on for a full contact affair in Muay Thai with elbows for July 12 ’25.. Should be awesome and an excellent challenge.. There was also an amateur title fight possibility in the near future in the states.. He is on the books for that.. So… we time right… get experience… build… prepare… pursue victory with spirit and technique as described in this picture.

The 7-5-3 code.. provides good guidelines to ensure success.

Also on the books for July 12 for the Muay Thai event is Richard Ronquillo for his 3rd event for another full contact affair, Vaanyi Igiri for his 2nd, Simon Hurn for his second and Danny Ramirez for his 3rd. Since MMA is comprised on Muay Thai, Wrestling and Jiu-Jitsu. Some Jiu-Jitsu tournaments could get competitive experience and challenge for Paul and Simon.. Details coming up..

We would like to thank all the supporters of Paul, as it certainly is a team effort. We are excited for the next challenge on the journey.

So… stay tuned.. fair bit going on… and… I appreciate the positive energy… Even when it is not perfect.. that is the best time to reframe.. Keep the 7-5-3 code in mind.. It is beautiful.. Simple yet deep and all encompassing.

Here is some information on our MMA approach:

BJJ Training is Part of Our MMA Classes

Posener’s Pankration/MMA employs a grappling heavy approach using No Gi Jiu-Jitsu and Submission Wrestling to develop combative skill in our Vancouver MMA classes. We are certainly one of the pioneering Vancouver MMA Training Schools in the area, as we started teaching full time 32 years ago, at the time of this writing, and we are keen on developing, and continuing to evolve our combative curriculum to the highest level for the individual in coordination with the student’s personal development.

Since we have dedicated Muay Thai classes for MMA, Fitness and Self Defense, our MMA classes Vancouver are grappling heavy, and we concentrate strongly on No Gi BJJ Vancouver and Wrestling tactics, skills, and strategies for combative effectiveness. We train for Self Defense, Fitness, Mental Discipline and Sport.

We employ a philosophy, which has been consistent since our inception, of developing a Mixed Martial Art Style emphasizing traditional philosophy.  Our goal is to develop and evolve the combative skills and personal development skills to the highest level for the actualization of individual students’ full potential.

Our MMA classes Vancouver emphasize striking entries to the clinch both offensively and defensively, Takedowns incorporating strikes, cage and wall tactics, ground fighting with submissions and striking set ups on the ground for submission finishes and positional advantages. We also do spar regularly with MMA skills in a controlled progressive manner to help students be familiar with a free fight that is not limited in technique. We do consider this class the ultimate.
