New Yoga class with Yana T at Posener’s MMA Vancouver
Starting this Saturday, February 9 ’19 from 12:45 – 1:45 pm , Yana Tarrasova will be teaching a new ongoing Yoga class, which is free to all members. The Yoga class will include stretching, mindfulness and restoration. Non- members can also attend a free trial and drop ins are available. It is awesome we can provide this class free for all members to enhance their development and practice.
Here is a description from Yana about her practice and philosophy:
“Make friends with the wild and visit it often”. The wild is the dark unexplored area of our minds and bodies, severed from our conscious awareness through fear of rejection. Go there.
Yoga and Meditation are only tools which cultivate the clarity to help shine the light into that darkness. This is a great benefit.
When the mind steadies and the body is relaxed, the power, the chi, flows smoothly, like water. To achieve this state one must master the mind, harness the emotions and nurture the body in a way which sustains the chi.
The Deep Stretch and Meditation class will provide the students with the tools of breathing techniques to help calm and center the mind; poses which will increase flexibility and release tension; and create emotional courage.
Yana is a Certified Yoga Instructor, and a practitioner for the past eight years.
The only true fear is the fear of the unknown. Trying is like winning the first battle.”
