I want to give a big thanks to POSNER’S PANKRATION AND MUAY THAI/KEL LEES A.M.A for there technique and style they teach at the dojo for the one year i been joint them.The technique they teach in muay thai its help me to defence my self from two criminal stranger they been known to cop’s that they attack me last four weeks ago.Thanks sensei Simon,Paul,George,Costa,Victor for the technique that you …guys teach us at the dojo.It’s make a big different for my life and also for real world out there when people attack you for no reason,I beleive without the knowledge i learn from POSNER’S PANKRATION AND MUAY THAI I think i already dead.I want to encourage all my fellow student at KEL LEES that what ever we learn from the dojo its not for sports and fitness only its can save your life like me. Our Pankration/MMA program incorporates a strong self defense element. MMA is the ultimate combat sport because it does represent a lot of the self defense situations that can occur in a one on one altercation. MMA sparring also helps someone get used to being hit and being under pressure. Our program, with its primary purpose being the development of self defense skills, will expand on the sport aspect. We also teach weapons class, which teaches use and defense. Our Japanese Jiu -jitsu component also covers an emphasis on self defense and not sport applications. The aspects that are not allowed in sport can be highly effective in self defense vancouver. So our self defense scenarios incorporate the use of vital point striking, pressure points and environmental awareness. We also emphasize prevention incorporating the A,B,C’s of conflict avoidance, which can be expanded upon in another entry or form. The self defense components are also woven into our Cardio Muay Thai and Muay Thai Kickboxing programs. For self defense we have to consider uneven sizes, multi-person combat scenarios and weapons usage. Sport doesn’t cover all that but our traditional approach will cover that also and that does round out an individual martial artist’s perspectives and skill sets. Self defense skills are part of our curriculum and required skills for advancement in our style.
